The Power of Knowing
Supporting Grieving Youth
Thursday, Sept. 26 | Noon to 1 p.m.
Understanding comes from knowing. When young people experience the serious illness or death of a loved one, they grieve. However, their reactions may look different than an adult’s grief. We can better support them by understanding the unique ways children and teens cope with loss. This webinar will discuss various factors that may shape their response to loss, such as age, developmental stage and circumstances. This program will identify resources that may help youth grieve in healthy ways.
Learning Objectives
• Learn what grief looks like in children and teens.
• Learn about how different factors can affect grief experience of youth at varied ages.
• Learn about supportive resources for children and teens coping with loss.
