Sixth Annual Corks for Kids Path Tickets on Sale Now
February 15, 2013
Corks for Kids Path will take place on Friday, March 8, at the Regency Room at Elm Street Center in downtown Greensboro. “We’ve been so pleased with the community’s generosity and commitment to this wonderful cause,” said Ashley Watkins, 2013 chairperson. “With a volunteer committee that was eager to build on last year’s success, we know this year’s event will have even more enjoyable experiences for attendees.”
The event will feature wines exclusively selected by Zeto Wine and Cheese Shop, locally crafted beers, hors d’oeuvres, fine chocolates, decadent gelatos and a silent auction. For $65 a person, guests have an opportunity to taste a variety of unique handcrafted wines from small wineries and can place an order. All proceeds from the sales will benefit Kids Path.
Corks for Kids Path was created by Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG) in 2008 and raises vital support for medically fragile and grieving children. The event has proved to be Greensboro’s premier winetasting experience and generates more than $217,000 (net).
“The Kids Path program relies on public support for 73 percent of its operating budget,” said Paul Russ, vice president of marketing and development. “The event raises visibility and vital funding so that children in need can continue to have access to a wonderful resource.”
