HPCG Plans Veterans Day Pinning Ceremony

Greensboro, NC—Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG) is pleased to announce a special recognition event on Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11. HPCG will host a pinning ceremony to honor HPCG staff and volunteers who have served, or are currently serving, in the United States armed forces.

Beginning at 8:30 am on the HPCG campus at 2500 Summit Avenue, the pinning ceremony will be hosted by Bob Newton, veteran and Chair of the HPCG Board of Directors. Throughout the day, certificates will also be presented to current HPCG patients that have served in the armed forces.

This pinning ceremony marks HPCG’s involvement with We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We Honor Veterans promotes respect and identification of veterans, and supports excellent end-of-life-care for veterans in the best possible manner and setting.

HPCG, a non-profit agency serving Greater Greensboro since 1980, is situated on an eight-acre campus at 2500 Summit Avenue.
