Meet Our Panelist
Pat Gibbons, RN
Patricia “Pat” Gibbons’ nursing career spans over 50 years. Her focus has been on home care, HIV, hospice and community-based care in a variety of roles. Although she retired as the Director of Beacon Place, an inpatient hospice facility after 20 years of service in 2016, she remains a fierce advocate for ensuring access to care. As they say, nurses never really retire and Pat is no exception. She works PRN as an Intake Nurse at PACE of the Triad assessing potential participants for care and services. She also initiates strategic planning and process improvement efforts for the organization when appropriate. She volunteers with Mustard Seed Clinic and continues to support the efforts of Triad Health Project.
Ursula Robinson
Ursula Robinson is the Executive Director of PACE of Guilford and Rockingham Counties, dba PACE of the Triad, located in Greensboro, NC. PACE is an acronym which stands for Program of All-inclusive care for the Elderly. PACE is an integrated, coordinated, person centered, provider led, capitated and fully risk bearing model of care. Driven by objective of maintaining the independence of program participants in their homes and communities for as long as possible; PACE programs are the lifelines that enable frail older Americans to live at home. Ursula served on the planning committee to evaluate the feasibility of the PACE model in Greensboro and was hired as the first Executive Director in 2010. Under Ursula’s leadership, PACE of the Triad is the third largest PACE program in NC and the first PACE program in North Carolina to provide an Alternative Care Setting to serve rural participants.

Risa Hanau, LCSW is the Clinical and Community Educator at AuthoraCare Collective. Risa is a seasoned presenter and teacher in the area of end-of-life and ethics. She is a member of the Cone Health Ethics Committee. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by training and holds a Master of Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania.
