Fourth Annual Corks for Kids Path Tickets Almost Gone!
Greensboro, NC—Corks for Kids Path will take place on Friday, February 25, 2011 in the Regency Room in downtown Greensboro. “We have been so pleased with the community’s generosity and commitment to this wonderful cause,” Chairperson Misty McCall said. “We have had such great success with our advanced ticket sales and sponsorship packages, we’re hoping for another sell-out event!”
Corks for Kids Path, created by Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG) in 2008, raises vital support for medically fragile children and grieving children. During the past three years the event has proved to be Greensboro’s premier wine-tasting experience – generating more than $100,000 (net) for Kids Path.
Corks for Kids Path will feature wines exclusively selected by Zeto Wine and Cheese Shop, craft beers created by Natty Greene’s, hors d’oeuvres by Pepper Moon Catering, chocolates by Loco for Coco and a silent auction. For $50 a person, guests have an opportunity to taste handcrafted wines from small wineries and place orders for the wines.
Another highlight of Corks for Kids Path is its silent auction, led by Vice-Chairperson Matt Logan. “This year, along with fabulous jewelry, we have a trip to Vail, Colorado in the auction and more sports- related items like a team-signed UNC Men’s Team basketball,” Logan said. “But, most exciting is, we have a new way to bid on our silent auction items. We are using a handheld iPod Touch device that will notify guests of outbidding; it eliminates the need to hover over the bid sheets as the evening wraps up!”
“Guests can also use the devices to place their wine orders and make donations directly to Kids Path,” McCall said. “It’s going to bring a new level of fun to the event!”
